The Secret Submissive – Drawing Upon Kink Desires

Hi there, tell us a bit about yourself: who’s behind TSS?

I’m a 30-year-old British Indian girl who is also a full-time English teacher.
My job and my cultural heritage are both reasons why I decided to write under a pen name!

How did you decide to start writing Erotica?

After I met my current dom, I started writing in almost the form of a journal, in order to process some of my feelings, emotions, and experiences.

When I looked back through my journey with Sir, I realised that actually, I had a pretty good story to tell!

From this, I shaped my first book and “A Taste of Submission – The Good Indian” was born.
It’s a retelling of my first meeting and first BDSM session with my dom, with some parts verbatim.

Was there a specific moment when you realized you wanted this to be your full-time job?

I think as I received more and more excellent reviews, my confidence in my abilities grew.

I also enjoyed writing each story that followed The Good Indian Girl even more than the last and my passion just exploded (pardon the pun!).

One day, I would like to write full-time as it is difficult to juggle a full-time teaching career with my writing endeavors.

However, I like my job and I enjoy giving back to my community. I’m a really good teacher and I know I’m making a difference.

What do you enjoy the most about BDSM and its dynamics?

I love being able to fully put myself into the hands of someone I trust completely – it’s exhilarating.

I also love the thrill of experiencing pleasure and pain in a safe environment, knowing I’m cared for (of course, there are always risks involved though).

For me, spanking and bondage are the most fun – I love the feeling of being restrained and at Sir’s mercy!

On the other hand, what do you think everyone gets wrong about BDSM?

People do not always appreciate the importance of communication.

Even the best dom in the world isn’t a mind reader! Like any relationship, practice makes perfect; you both have to talk and experiment.

Another issue I have is the linear portrayal of BDSM.

In reality, each dynamic is very different and all couples enjoy different aspects of BDSM but this doesn’t make one version right or wrong.

It’s as unique as the people involved!

Is there a specific piece of writing you’re most proud of?

I’m really proud of my short story, “Can I Say Goodbye?” It deals with the idea of disenfranchised grief and is a very emotive and powerful piece of writing.
I wrote this story as a way of dealing with a lost relationship and some consuming emotions I was feeling at the time and I think the result was very raw and real, and very different from my other pieces!

Where do you draw inspiration from?

I write using my own experiences with my dom – I’m an owned submissive.
I also use my past relationships (BDSM and vanilla), as well as drawing upon my desires.
I have also really enjoyed connecting with the kink community on Twitter and chatting about BDSM and sex and relationships!
My friends and followers (@TSubmissive) give me plenty of inspiration too!

What are you working on right now?

I am currently working on a few anthologies, including a collection of dark erotica short stories and a fantasies collection!
My free Halloween story, Spells & Submission, was unexpectedly well-received by my readers so that inspired me to start a sequel!
I have so many projects on the go at the moment! https://www.wattpad.com/799843792-spells-submission

Is there a community around Erotica in India?

I have really enjoyed connecting with the community of erotica writers on Twitter and I have made friends with writers from all across the globe!
I think erotica is becoming more and more appreciated and accepted as a genre and the stigma around it is slowly lifting.

How do you see your career as a writer in 3 years?

I would love to take on more professional writing jobs in the future and hopefully reduce my teaching role to part-time.
I will definitely continue writing short stories because I love the pace and thrill but I would also like to try my hand at writing a full-length psychosexual novel.
The challenge really excites me and I love the thought of writing a thriller with lots of dark twists.
